Occupation Health Nurse

Contract Opportunity: Occupational Health Nurse for Leading Manufacturing Company!
Prineville, OR

Are you an experienced Occupational Health Nurse looking for a contract position where you can make a significant impact? We need your expertise to help ensure the health and safety of our dedicated workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide on-site medical care, first aid, and treatment to employees, responding quickly to health concerns and injuries
  • Lead and manage medical surveillance programs, tracking and monitoring employee health related to workplace exposures
  • Conduct health assessments, including pre-employment exams, annual physicals, and fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Collaborate with the safety team to implement industrial hygiene practices like exposure monitoring (chemicals, noise, etc.) and recommend appropriate control strategies
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain accurate records for health surveillance and injury reporting
  • Run wellness initiatives, promoting injury prevention, ergonomics, and overall health maintenance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active RN license with Occupational Health experience (knowledge of industrial hygiene is a plus)
  • Proven experience managing medical surveillance programs and understanding its significance in the manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene practices, including monitoring for chemical, physical, and environmental exposures
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and compliance procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate employees at all levels
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
